Kolkata Shree Pujo Protijogita is one of the leading Durga Pujo competitions to acknowledge and appreciate excellence of Barowari Pujo in various aspects by giving them awards. An initiative of Kolkata Municipal Corporation with association of CESC, Kolkata Shree evaluates only the Barowari Pujo in areas under KMC jurisdiction.

The name Kolkata Shree has been given by Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and with her inspiration the event has attained a considerable height in the scenario of Durga Pujo competition. It started its journey in 2011 and soon became one of the premiere Pujo Competitions for its able organization and rightful and competent judgement.

A fair and free competition, Kolkata Shree evaluates the brilliance and innovative endeavour in organising Durga Pujo in KMC area. Kolkata Shree through this very healthy competition encourages and inspires more artistic acumen and craftsmanship.

There are eleven award categories in Kolkata Shree. This year, certain categories are there to evaluate the role of Pujo Committees towards their social responsibilities and awareness.
